Surfing you can rent a board which is a lot cheaper then snow boarding. Not to mention snowboarding gear is way more expensive if you decide to get into it. So my answer is surfing. Snowboarding there is a chance of dieing as well. Contrary to popular belief, surfing is relatively safe. Your more likely to get struck by lightening than get bitten by a shark. However with both sports one must be mindful of their surroundings. That is how you can survive. Surfing is harder than snowboarding at higher levels but easier to pick up than snowboarding. It really just depends on your preference of how you want to experience the element. Solid or liquid. I say go with the liquid.

I think surfing. ive done it once and i fell in love, it is so much fun once you get the hang of it. plus you dont have to spend extra money on goggles and snow stuff. but i do reccommend buying a rashguard for surfing.

I believe you should go snowboarding because: A: You will have more money to spend til then B: It's safer since there's no chance of drowning/ dying C: It's alot like skateboarding so you would have a bit of experience D: Surfing is much harder, and if you want to enjoy for the first experience, it is not the right choice because it's not much fun til you're good at it.
